Friends of Flagstaff Hill

The Wreckfest group are excited to bring this new and unique maritime festival to Flagstaff Hill and Warrnambool on the 5th November 2023.

Come and experience the atmosphere of a 19th Century Australian port, as we take you back 150 years, while you stroll through the 10 hectares, the cobblestone streets and beautiful buildings, while overlooking the picturesque Lady Bay.

There will be old trade stands and displays of crafts. These will include a tarot reader, a porcelian flower maker, working blacksmith, Miss Lizzie at her giant spinning wheel, a sock maker, a weaver using her loom, a shearing display showing the use of hand shears, quilters, spinners, a coopers display and more

Entertainment on the day will include a Brass band, a Pipe band and the Tin Shed singers.There will aslo be children’s activities all day. There will also be a firing of the 80lb cannon by the Garrison.

We have catered for the culinary as well in our food court, we will serve you typical styled fare found on a wharf back in England, with a modern twist. Food will include Fish and chips provided by Bundys, hot jacket potatoes, a toastie bar, high tea in the  Stella Maria tearooms (bookings essential) and Coffee from Espresso Mobile. Refreshments will be provided by Noodledoof brewery, Timboon distillery and Suffoir Wines.
