Stella Day Out is coming to town as part of the launch weekend of Warrnambool Storytelling Festival!
Four acclaimed authors will be in conversation with local identities on themes such as Australian story, chronic pain, climate, and motherhood. This event is free, and includes a light lunch for all attendees. Bookings are essential.
SESSION ONE: Santilla Chingaipe, recognised by the United Nations as one of the most influential people of African descent in the world, and current Stella Prize shortlisted author of ‘Black Convicts’, in conversation with educational leader Mary Coverdale.
SESSION TWO: Katherine Brabon, Stella Prize shortlisted author of ‘Body Friend’ will be in conversation with Dr Jodie Fleming about the impacts and influences of chronic pain. Her new novel, CURE, will be pre-released ahead of publication for this event.
SESSION THREE: Critically acclaimed authors Alice Robinson and Kate Mildenhall (also a current listed author in the 2025 Children’s Book Council Awards) will be in conversation on the themes of climate and motherhood with educator and conservationist, Viveka Simpson.
