Music is deeply ingrained in the culture of Warrnambool. From the long history of the Gunditjmara people to the invention of recorded music, from Waltzing Matilda to Solid Rock, Warrnambool has always played a significant role in Australian music.
The Live Music Office has now generously funded ‘Warrnambool Live’, which aims to build our community capacity to grow and sustain live music. The program supports the Warrnambool community to build a sustainable Live Music ecosystem through novel events and strategic planning. It all kicks off with the ‘SoundTracks’ festival!
November 7 - 3pm-9pm: Everything from soloists to big bands, live music down the laneways of the CBD, and in hospitality venues.
Venue changes: Due to the forecast of rain (the weather, not the Led Zeppelin song) artists originally scheduled for Ozone Walk and the Civic Green will now perform at the Lighthouse Theatre - either in the foyer or upstairs in the studio. The studio has an elevator, so is still easily accessible.
