Sinhalese New Year Celebration at Rankey's Zone

The Sinhala New Year marks the beginning of the traditional calendar according to astrology is one of the most significant celebration in Sri Lanka.

This joyful occasion is an annual expression of the rich culture, where through the many interesting customs, delicious traditional sweetmeats and the fun activities, the Sri Lankans come together to be united, offer gratitude and celebrate as one nation.

Rankey's Zone Cafe and restaurant hosted the traditional festivities to showcase the rich heritage and culture associated with the New Year celebrations to the younger generation and to our Warrnambool commiunity.

Rankey's Zone arranged a totally traditional Sri Lankan new year buffet on 14th of April from 12.30pm to 2.30pm for luch and 5.00pm to 9.00pm for dinner. only $25.
