In this 3-hour Lost Wax Taster workshop, you'll discover the fundamentals of crafting a ring using the lost wax technique with a build-up method. It's a relaxed and easy going atmosphere, perfect for learning and a great opportunity to spend your Friday evening or Saturday morning crafting up a storm!
During the workshop, you'll learn the following:
Creating a textured band in wax
Casting gemstones directly onto the piece using various lost wax tools working with different types of waxes
Understanding the lost wax casting process.
You'll get to make 1-2 rings, and after the workshop, your creations will be sent for casting. Within 2 weeks, your finished and polished rings will be returned to you by post.
What's provided: Wax for crafting your pieces Silver for casting (up to 10 grams) 10 assorted round cubic zirconias 2 completed pieces, sent to you once the process is done Please note: This workshop focuses solely on working with wax; it does not cover metal finishing techniques.
