Grant Writing Workshop

Unlock the secrets to successful grant writing at our upcoming Grant Writers Workshop!

Designed for festival, event, and community organisers, this hands on session will take you step by step from finding the right grants to crafting standout submissions and delivering confident, clear acquittals.

Across four practical modules, you’ll learn where to source funding opportunities, how to write impact driven responses, how to capture the data grant providers actually care about and how to deliver a comprehensive acquittal. You'll also work through your own grant template during the workshop, leaving with the beginnings of a tailored application you can continue to refine.

We’re thrilled to have Cr Karen Foster as our presenter. As a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a sitting Councillor and former Mayor, and an experienced Board Chair and mentor, Karen brings a wealth of insight, strategy, and real world knowledge to her workshops. Participants consistently value her clear, practical teaching style and her ability to make complex processes feel achievable.

Alongside the workshop, participants will also gain access to a private online Q&A group, offering ongoing guidance as you develop your application.

Whether you're new to grant writing or looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop will give you the tools, confidence, and clarity you need to secure future funding success.
