DRAMAFEST SOUTHWEST is a series of youth-focused drama and acting workshops led by an international award-winning artist, Jennifer Monk, Bringing professional, industry-level training directly to regional communities.
These hands-on sessions are designed to build confidence, creativity, and performance skills—giving young people the opportunity to access high-quality training in their own towns. By bringing experienced professionals into regional areas, the program creates meaningful opportunities for young performers to grow, right where they are.
Drama Club Prep: Grade 2 10-11am -$17
A playful, supportive class full of theatre games, storytelling, character play, scene building, and dress-ups—designed to build confidence and creativity.
Drama Lab: Grade 3 – 6 11.15M - 12.30PM - $20
A dynamic, hands-on workshop exploring theatre games, improvisation, character work, and scene creation. A space for kids to explore, collaborate, and perform.
Acting Studio: High School - $20 12.45 - 2pm
Something different this month! For the first time, DRAMAFEST South West is taking the Acting Studio off the stage and onto camera. Participants will explore the differences between stage and screen acting while developing their skills in characterisation, improvisation and performance for camera. They'll also get an introduction to on-set practices and learn practical self-tape audition techniques and industry tips that every aspiring screen actor should know.
Participants must bring their own phone capable of recording video.
