For seven years, 2005 to 2012, Ben and Leigh worked for the Jawoyn Association, Katherine, recording over 1400 Jawoyn rock art and other cultural sites of significance to the Jawoyn people. The majority of these were on the Arnhem Land Plateau. The talk will present a description of Jawoyn country, getting around, the way the art sites were recorded, and look at the spectacular variety of Jawoyn rock art from more than 10,000 years ago.
